Daniel Clarke
Anna K.’s current musical director, is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer who has performed and recorded all over the world including at the White House and the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Daniel’s eclectic and prodigious musicianship lead to his ongoing collaboration with k.d. lang as her musical director and his extensive work with other artists including The Chicks, Kronos Quartet, Paul Williams, Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban, The War On Drugs, etc.
Schuyler Fisk
As a singer/songwriter, Schuyler Fisk burst onto the scene in 2009 when her first album, The Good Stuff, debuted on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and at #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart. She went on to release several successful subsequent albums and singles under her own moniker while also recording an album with her indie-country duo, FM RADIO (appearing as musical guest on The Tonight Show). Schuyler has performed and toured with artists including Sheryl Crow, Loretta Lynn, and Ben Taylor. Schuyler continues to write original songs for film and television, most recently “Life After” for Sam & Kate (2022), a feature film in which Schuyler stars alongside her mother, Sissy Spacek. Film reviewer Pete Hammond (Deadline), praised her acting as “incapable of a false note.” Schuyler’s acting career began at the age of 11, when she starred in The Baby-Sitter’s Club, and she has maintained that career for the last 3 decades, with roles in films such as Orange County with Jack Black and Colin Hanks, I’m Reed Fish with Jay Baruchel, Gus Van Sant's film Restless and a bone-chilling performance in Law & Order: SVU (NBC), to name a few.
Austin York
Austin York is a founding member of the band Sleepwalkers. After building a significant following while extensively touring in a Lincoln Towncar with far-too-bald tires, they were hand-selected by the Lumineers to open their North American tour. Iconic venue the 9:30 club had this to say about the band, “Combines the sarcasm of Vampire Weekend with the more accessibly baroque style of the mid-career Beatles, and occasionally leaning towards the atmospheric a-la Real Estate. It’s instantly catchy and carefully produced.” Austin is also an accomplished animator.
Colin Killalea
Virginia native Colin Killalea has brought an uncommon wealth of talent and skill to a range of musical endeavors, taking him to stages as diverse as the Knitting Factory, Lincoln Center, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! Colin has toured five continents with the likes of Natalie Prass, and the Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr.; has produced albums by jazz trumpeter-composer John D’Earth, indie chanteuse Juliana Daugherty, and Americana singer-songwriter Schuyler Fisk; and has tracked vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, and saxophone for recordings by Amber Arcades, Becca Stevens, and Hammond Jr. Colin has also composed music for projects including the acclaimed film Waiting for Bojangles and his own band, Klauss. He is the saxophone instructor at UVA and the guitarist in Vampire Weekend.
Jesse Harper
Jesse Harper is a founding member and lead singer of acoustic supergroups Old School Freight Train and Love Canon. He has played thousands of concerts in both North America and Europe and performed with many of his musical heroes including David Grisman, Madeleine Peyroux, kd lang, Jason Mraz, Josh Ritter, Ricky Skaggs and many others.
Kristen Schaeffer
Kristen Schaeffer is a singer/songwriter currently based in South Carolina after a stint in Canada where she founded a performance troupe that appeared at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. A born and raised New Yorker, she grew up going to Broadway shows. Her love for theater led her to study vocal performance at Berklee College of Music, where she slowly developed a sound all her own, fusing the storytelling nature of theatre with a folky/pop twist. She was most recently featured on an episode of Charmed with her song "Shadows," as well as on a compilation album of all-female KISS covers created by MediaHorse in partnership with KISS. She continues to record her new work as a Salinger Songs writer at regular intervals at White Star Sound outside of Charlottesville.
Lydia Adelaide Ooghe
Lydia Adelaide Ooghe is a multifaceted artist and professional whose journey has taken her from the Broadway stage to the indie music scene and now the global nonprofit arena. Lydia began her career as a child actor, gracing Broadway and touring productions of iconic shows like Les Misérables and The Secret Garden, where she held the starring role as Mary Lennox. Her early years also saw her lending her talent to commercials and honing her craft in theatrical workshops at Lincoln Center.
During college, Lydia discovered her passion for music creation. She transitioned from the Broadway lights to the indie music scene, fronting bands like The Analogues (with Jim Saxa) in New York City, which frequently played such venues such as Sidewalk Café, the Living Room and the Public Theater, and Lux Vacancy (with Wells Hanley and Trey Pollard) in Richmond, VA. During this time, Lydia released several EPs and contributed to projects by Antifolk’s godfather, Lach, Jellowstone Records (Reggie Pace, NoBS!; Devonne Harris, Butcher Brown) and Richmond bass legend Todd Herrington. A move to Los Angeles marked her shift towards music production and freelance writing for film, TV, and animation, with highlights including work on ABC/Disney’s “Phineas and Ferb” web spinoff "Doof's Daily Dirt” and books for Cartoon Network’s “Adventure Time” series. She also joined Strong Sons Productions as in-house composer for their short films and new web series in development, “Donald’s Pathological Morning.” In 2019, she released her first self-produced full-length album, “Welcome, Please Wait,” a songwriter’s ode to Muzak. Lydia's diverse journey also includes a stint as an ace sequencer on a professional blackjack team in Las Vegas and Atlantic City during her early twenties.
